Jesse (aka Mikey) spent seven months at MCAS before he found his way into my heart. It was April 25 th of this year, my birthday, that Mikey was to be PTS along with so many other beautiful dogs. Seeing how upset I was , my husband surprised me by telling me to choose a dog and to consider it my birthday"gift". It was a bittersweet moment, how could I choose from so many? It was months before this, that Mikey's bio was posted and because he sounded so much like my friend's former dog, I shared it with her hoping that I could find him a home. It was because of this "share" that when I gazed at the PTS collage, the only dog I saw was Mikey. Wanting a meaningful name for him, I chose Jesse meaning "gift" and he truly is a gift that keeps on giving!
