Lola was a three time stray at the local shelter and her owner chose not to bail her out the third time. She was so skinny that no one suspected she was pregnant so it was quite a surprise the morning she was to be spayed when she was found with four puppies. When she returned to the shelter after raising her puppies in a foster home I quickly adopted her. There was just something about her I couldn't resist even though I already had two dogs. I got negative reactions from my neighbors for bringing home a Pit Bull and wanted to prove them wrong so Lola became a registered therapy dog. She is now a favorite at the nursing home she visits as well as the library where she helps kids with their reading. Everyone who meets her loves her.
