We adopted Gretel through a rescue group when she was 12 weeks old. Before she became part of our family we had no experience with Pit Bulls and we were nervous about whether the stereotypes of aggressive and vicious behavior were true. But when she looked at me with those deep brown eyes, I saw her sweet spirit and gentle soul, and I had an instant connection with her. She has turned out to be the most lovable, silly, friendly, and loyal dogs I have ever known, and I'm so glad we took a chance on this precious girl. Now, if we could just keep her out of the mud puddles in the backyard, she'd be perfect.
