Pepper and her siblings were dumped in my neighbor's yard. Unfortunately, he didn't care enough to do anything about it and the puppies almost died. He finally let us take them and we brought them all to our local animal shelter to make them well again and find them deserving homes. All became healthy and found their forever homes, except one-Pepper. She was so traumatized by the abuse that she saw all strangers as a threat and would act aggressively towards everyone. No one wanted her and she faced euthanization. We couldn't let this happen so we "fostered" her. Well, this "foster fail" quickly became part of our family. She is a two time survivor and has overcome her horrendous puppy experience. She is a sweetheart and adores her three rescue siblings, one of which is her actual sibling. We can't imagine life without her! We love her so much!
