About

The Mission of the Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League is to provide shelter to lost, homeless and unwanted animals, to provide spay and neuter and other medical services for companion animals, and to care for, protect, and find quality homes for homeless and neglected companion animals, to advocate animal welfare, community involvement and education to further the bond between people and animals.

For the eighth year in a row, Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League has received a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator, America's largest independent charity navigator, placing it among only 7% of non-profits nationwide to be consecutively recognized. It is also the first animal shelter in South Florida to become AAHA (American Animal Hospital Association) accredited.

Peggy Adams is an independent nonprofit animal rescue organization operating continuously since 1925 and saves more lives than any other rescue organization in Palm Beach County. Critical services are provided to more than 35,000 animals each year.

On April 1, 2020, Peggy Adams launched its Humane Education department to develop and implement a portfolio of programming for all ages, with a strong emphasis on youth. Through humane education programs, together, we can all make a lifetime of good choices in our treatment of all living things and the world we share.
