A little about me...
When I was 12 and struggling to fit in at school, my family adopted Silver: a 13-year-old cat with kidney failure who was being fostered by our neighbor and just so happen to follow me home one day. She decided to stick around and refused to leave our porch. Thinking she could just use a loving home for however much time she had left, we welcomed her in. But she was a determined little thing! She defied all odds, staying with me through my teenage years and only passing away at 19, a month after my high school graduation. She got me through the hardest years of my life- showing up when I needed her most and leaving when she was sure I could take care of myself.
