Eva was rescued from horrible conditions in a puppy mill in Ocala, FL in 2012. She had spent her entire 3 years of life outside in a tiny kennel in filth with the only human contact being when she was bred. She is what many consider a true rescue. She came to us with a lot of medical needs, emotional scars, and no training. She had never been inside a house or even felt grass beneath her feet. Everything was new, and terrifying. Despite all this, Eva is a love bug and only wants to snuggle and be accepted and do the right thing. She has shown us the true power of forgiveness and that moving on with strength courage and grace is always the most important thing to do no matter how hard it seems at first. She is an angel on earth & we are so lucky she is part of our family now. This year she turned 8 years old in June. Remember, adopt don't shop. Puppy mills like where Eva was tortured are all too common. Never buy from pet stores & always insist on seeing the parents. We can stop the suffering caused by the greed of puppy mills if we don't support it. Giving them money perpetuates the cycle & Eva's sad story is only one of many. If you can, always consider adopting from a rescue instead, but if you do buy from a breeder make sure they're reputable & responsible with the breed & dogs best interest at heart. Thank you.
