Submitting Your Entry
- To submit your pet's photo, a minimum $20 donation is required. This amount will enter you into the contest and will be included in the overall funds donated to your campaign. If selected, your pet will be the Most Adorable Pet for 2018 and serve as the Animal Image used for advertising the 75th Anniversary of the Pensacola Humane Society.
- Entries are limited to one photo per entry fee and must be submitted online. You may submit as many entries as you like. Each entry requires a $20 entry fee.
- Once entered, all photos become the property of the Pensacola Humane Society and can be used, edited, or modified for print or marketing purposes.
- Any photo or caption deemed inappropriate as determined by the staff of the Pensacola Humane Society will be removed from the contest.
- Donations are fully tax-deductible as permitted by law. The Pensacola Humane Society is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All entrants will receive receipts for their contributions.
Photo Requirement
- All entries must be in color and contain only the dog or cat entered in the contest.
- A signed release is required for photographs taken by professional photographers or a studio.
- The acceptable formats are .jpg, and .png.
- Submitting a photo from another person's pet requires the permission of the owner to be entered the Most Adorable Pet contest.
Contest Voting
- Once a photo is submitted, it will appear in the online photo contest gallery and be open to voting by the public.
- Each dollar donated to a pet's campaign represents one vote. Due to processing costs, a minimum $5 donation is required.
- All donations are tax-deductible by law.
- All donations to the Most Adorable Pet Contest are final.
- When voters vote, they must designate the one recipient of that vote.
- No votes via the telephone will be accepted for the contest. If you find that you must submit an offline donation, please mail your gift to:

In the memo line of your check, please indicate whose campaign you are voting for (example – "John Smith). Donations must be received 24 hours in advance of the closing of the contest to be inputted into the contest. All checks received after the deadline will be accepted as a donation to the Pensacola Humane Society.
Contest Deadline
- The ending time for the Most Adorable Pet Photo Contest will be determined by the host website's server which will be shown prominently on the Photo Contest website as a countdown clock. The contest closes on October 27 at 8 p.m. (CST).
Contest Winners
- Each entry into the Most Adorable Pet Contest will have an opportunity to be included on the digital display boards provided by Lamar Advertising. The first 75 entries in both the dog and cat categories in the contest will be included in the PHS 2018 Pet Collage at no extra charge. The collage will be a regular feature of the Pensacola Humane Society web site focused on highlighting the 75th Anniversary of the Founding of the PHS.
- Prize announcements will be finalized one week prior to the contest end date.
- Pets are to be entered in the following categories – Cat or Dog. These images will be included in a spread in the Pensacola Humane Society web site and on the Lamar Advertising Billboard.
- The top cat will be formally recognized via one of the media partners on Friday, October 27 as part of the Countdown to Barktoberfest Promotion.
- The six finalists in the dog category will be recognized at Barktoberfest, while the winner will be presented to the crowd as part of the concluding ceremony for the event at 4 p.m.
- The value of any prizes won in this contest must be reported on your taxes as income. For more information, please refer to:

Prizes for top votes (Separate Category for dogs and cats)
- 1st Place: Your pet will receive a photo shoot for their "Pet of the Year" spot selection. Your pet will be included in the 2018 Pensacola Humane Society Online Most Adorable Pet Display. You also will receive a 12-month supply of dog or cat food from Woerner's Landscape & Pet Supply and a goodie bag. Your pet will receive the recognition of becoming Most Adorable Pet for the Humane Society's 75th Anniversary. The Top Dog and the Top Cat will be featured in the promotion of the 2019 Most Adorable Pet contest materials.
- 2nd Place: Your pet's photograph will be included in the 2018 PHS Online Most Adorable Pet Display. Each animal will receive a six-month supply of dog or cat food from Woerner's Landscape and Pet Supply. A goodie-bag will also be included in the prize offerings.
- 3rd Place: Your pet's photograph will be included in the 2018 PHS Online Most Adorable Pet Display. Each animal will receive a three-month supply of dog or cat food from Woerner's Landscape and Pet Supply. A goodie-bag will also be included in the prize offerings.
- 4th thru 6th Place: Your pet's photograph will be included in the 2018 PHS Online Most Adorable Pet Display. Each animal will receive a one-month supply of dog or cat food from Woerner's Landscape and Pet Supply. A goodie-bag will also be included in the prize offerings.
