How does this photo represent the theme – Life is Better Together?
Maxine's personality comes out when she is together with someone who cares. She is a sweet, snuggly, adorable girl who is about four years old. She is laid back and loves to lounge on the couch but still loves to get super silly doing her cute playbows and playing chase.

We recently discovered that Maxine has Spondylosis, a chronic condition of the spine with the formation of bone spurs between vertebrae that cause the pain. There's no cure and she is already noted at a "severe stage" at such a young age with multiple spots along her spine and there is a chance it will continue to get worse. She also has slight lumbar vertebrae fusion between 2 vertebrae, also adding to the discomfort and pain. She is now on a daily pain pill and rest/easy walks until we can get some pain management under control with laser therapy. We are grateful that our partners at Seven Fields Veterinary will provide the laser therapy at no cost for her future family.

We believe that this picture elegantly portrays the theme "The Power of Together", because, despite what she has gone through, Maxine just wants to be together with a forever family.
