How does this photo represent the theme – Life is Better Together?
We adopted Llotl (the black cat, who is 4 years old) last August. Initially he was afraid of everything around, including our other cat who is quite a matriarch, and was even wary of being picked up or brushed. In January, we visited the Goathouse again, and instantly fell in love with Jotunn (the gray Maine Coon) and brought him home. Although he is 3 years old, he is still a kitten at heart, rampaging around our apartment, chasing his toys, and squeaking at us to be held. When Jotunn came to our house, we saw a transformation in Llotl. He was the one who welcomed Jotunn the most, and the two have since being playing and snuggling up together. They often chase each other around the apartment and play "hide-and-seek" (especially at night!). Llotl, as an older brother, frequently grooms Jotunn. But not only did Llotl find a perfect companion, he has also become more confident around the house. He lets us hold him and brush his belly and he often demands attention and to be petted, which did not happen before. We are so glad to see the friendship blossom and the cats integrate into our family.
