Louie is a 3 year old Mastiff who is almost completely blind. Dan is his adoptive father, and Dan is battling 3 different kinds of cancer. Louie and Dan are soul mates, caring for each other and depending on each other. Louie was surrendered by his original owners to Canine Rescue Coalition/AZ Mastiff Rescue last fall, just as Dan volunteered to be a foster parent. Dan and his wife Sharon wanted to have a dog in their home again, but were worried about Dan's health, so fostering seemed a good option. Dan and Sharon were willing to take Louie with his special needs and Louie grabbed their hearts in the first moments and never let go. Dan and Sharon adopted Louie recently, after deciding that they didn't want to live without him. Canine Rescue Coalition realized that Louie shouldn't have to live without Dan and Sharon - he has found his last, final and forever home. Both Louie and Dan are better together.
