How does this photo represent the theme – Life is Better Together?
Ruby represents the word "life" and all of its meanings. She was rescued from a pet Emergency clinic where her owner left her to die with a heart defect. She spent her first night under the rescue in an oxygen tank. She had surgery the next morning and was placed on life saving medications. Ruby has since been placed in foster care and is seeing a team of cardiologists at Louisiana State University. She now lives every day to its fullest in her foster home. She enjoys normal puppy activities like playing with her toys and kissing children. Ruby's official diagnosis and lifetime treatment plan are pending, but she doesn't let any of this get her down! We chose this picture of Ruby to represent how far she has come from being nearly unable to breathe the first night we met her to running and loving life without a care in the world.
