Pet's Story or Bio
Meet Thor.
Thor was rescued from NYACC when he was 5 months old. FDNY rescued him from a house on fire that was being used by squatters to breed dogs and sell drugs. Thor came to us starving, covered in scars, and with some pretty heavy emotional trauma as only a puppy.
After being rescued, he had an entire team of people (my family) who dedicated years of their time and effort to shape him into the dog he is today. He was shown compassion, love, consistency and learned to trust his humans.

Fast forward to 9 years old —> Thor is the best dog I could have ever asked for. He is loyal, sweet, protective, and just such a “good man” (a saying he hears daily!) Thor spent the last 8 years of his life with his best friend, his sister D. We lost our sweet D back in March and it’s been a hard adjustment for Thor. Since losing D, Thor has shown how truly amazing animals are in their ability to sense and connect with humans. He knew that me losing D meant he had an extra pair of shoes to fill, and he has spent every day since, making sure he did just that. Thor is that dog that was always meant to be mine, not because he needed me, but because I needed him, and D needed him, and his dad needed him. Special doesn’t begin to describe him. Vote for Thor 💙
