Your Pet’s Story or Bio / L’histoire ou biographie de votre animal de compagnie
In November, just as the air turned sharp and winter began creeping toward Québec, Parson came into our lives.
He and his brother Clemson were part of the South Shore colony — a group of tiny fighters rescued just in time, before the snow and bitter cold could settle in. Parson may have started his life outdoors, but from the very beginning, you could tell he was never meant to stay there. He was meant for couches, warm blankets, and people to love.
From the moment we brought him home, Parson decided that affection was his full-time job.
He is the lovey of the family — the kind of kitten who walks proudly through the house with a toy in his mouth, letting out the tiniest, fiercest growl as if he’s captured something enormous. It’s his trophy parade, and he wants everyone to know it.
He loves to play, chase, pounce — but his favorite move? The dramatic flop.
Parson will stroll over, look up with those soft eyes, and then suddenly throw himself onto his side — sometimes even onto his back — as if to say, “Well? I’m ready. The belly isn’t going to rub itself.” And of course, we oblige. Because when Parson flops, resistance is futile.
From a colony kitten facing his first winter outdoors to a toy-carrying, belly-flopping cuddle expert, Parson’s journey is a reminder that sometimes the smallest rescues bring the biggest love into a home.
And he makes sure we feel that love every single day.
