Short feline bio/rescue story
Pumpkin was found wandering around the neighborhood of a family friend after her original owners abandoned her outside when they moved only a few houses down the street. Our family friend fed Pumpkin throughout the summer of 2021 and was even able to get the vet records from the original owners. When my family and I finally met Pumpkin in late September after our friend got her in a safe trap, she just looked so small and sad that we had to take her in. Pumpkin was brought to Pet Pride where she was updated on her vaccines and chipped, but she was only there for about two days before we picked her up. The very first night we had her, although still skittish, Pumpkin found herself laying on our laps and making friends with our dog. We officially adopted her on October 30th, 2021, thus the name "Pumpkin" felt very fitting. Throughout the rest of the year, her stressed induced ulcers disappeared, her fur got fluffier, and she got a bit chunkier too. We have never met a cat more tidy, playful, and loving than Pumpkin so I am so grateful we are the people who are giving her a forever home.

Pumpkin's favorite form of play is "hunting" us and the dog by running up on us from behind furniture.
