Tell us your Cool Cat's story!
Maru was a sweet orphaned kitten I fostered for Pet Pride in 2025, along with his brother Ziggy and sister Trixie. His name, which means “peaceful” in the Māori language of New Zealand, reflected that he was the gentle soul amongst the whirlwind of his siblings's playful energy.

He wasn't all innocence - he also had a mischievous streak. His favorite trick was disappearing into a gap down the side of the bed, popping just his head out with wide eyes. He taught his sister Trixie how to play this hilarious game, too.

Maru and Ziggy, deeply bonded brothers, were adopted together and are no doubt charming their new family.

Maru was the Chief Nap Instigator, always the first to curl up for a nap, reminding his littermates that rest was just as important as play.
