Tell us your Cool Cat's story!
Our family was having a tough time with the sudden loss of our friendliest cat, Brizo, to cancer. Brizzie was a long haired stray who had been with us for more than a decade. She was happiest as the center of attention, enjoying pets from toddlers, teens, and adults alike. Everyone missed her.

After a few months without Brizzie's comforting presence, we decided it was time to look for another cat. We were visiting Pet Pride when a foster volunteer happened to come in with a kitten - a long haired kitten! - just visible peaking out of the carrier. We were able to visit with the black and white fluff ball (known then as 'Elsa') and when she cuddled into our arms purring, we knew we needed to bring her home!

While large, beautiful, and regal, Nyx is a funny girl, meowing and flopping down to insist on pets - even belly rubs - each morning. Her fluffy coat, green eyes, and white mustache are envied by all (so she thinks). If you ask her, she'll reply with quick purr and bright "mei mei!".
