Pet's Story
Hershey was welcomed into our family 11 years ago. My sister and I were desperate to have a pet, so we created a presentation to show our parents why a dog would be a wonderful addition to the family. We researched different breeds and made a pretty solid case. Once my parents got on board, we found a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel breeder in Chicago. We went to see the liter and there was this tiny little puppy with a little brown dot on his head. We decided he was the perfect fit and brought him home a few weeks later. The first night was rough for Hershey, so my sister and I laid on the floor next to his kennel and sang lullabies until he fell asleep. He quickly became a very important member of the family. My parents love to take him on walks, whether it be in the neighborhood, on the beach in Florida or in downtown Chicago. I trained him to sit, stay, shake and roll over. He is so smart and has been very comforting when any of us are sick or down. He aims to please and is a very special presence in our lives. Even though he is 11, he has the energy and pep of a puppy. Hershey is such a good pup and we love him with all of our hearts!
