Pet's Story
Gracie was brought to an Indiana animal shelter at six weeks of age in May 2017 with 2 littermates, all malnourished, filthy dirty, suffering from pneumonia and ear mites, and having trouble breathing. She was treated with medications.

I saw her on Petfinder while in Colorado at my daughter's wedding but quickly responded that I wanted her if she were still there a week later when I was to return to Indiana. Even in her Petfinder photo after her clean-up, little Gracie's face, eyes and nose were covered with dirt and soot. But her sad eyes were so expressive. She deserved a good home. I fell in love with the helpless little kitten.

Today, Gracie is healthy and happy, and lives with our household that includes two other kitties and two dogs who all get along as family. She is up to normal weight now. She plays all day long and sings every time I pick her up! She loves life and is so photogenic; it's like living with a kitten model. Thankfully, Gracie's story is a happy ending, unlike the majority of sick cats dropped at animal shelters. There just aren't enough homes for them.
