Pet's Story
Mavvy (left) has always been a stubborn, fierce, and independent cat. She had been a stray squatting on my mom's porch for half of a year while I had been abroad. After my return to the states, I took her home with me, but she wasn't able to provide the close kind of physical affection I desired from a pet. Mavvy has never taken well to other animals, so in the 4 years I had her, I didn't attempt to adopt another animal for affection. Then, on one visit to the shelter, I fell in love with Kevin (right). He was so relaxed and happy to cuddle me close, wrapping his little paws around my arm and gripping lightly. I knew instantly that I had to bring him home. After a few days separated, I let Kevin out to explore the house. This was the result. I was shocked at how quickly Mavvy fell in love with Kevin too! She HATES other cats. Our family is now complete, and Kevin almost never leaves my side.
