Pet's Story
Darwin (meaning dear friend) graduated from the Bloomington Animal Shelter in 2011. At some point after the adoption, she was DECLAWED ON ALL FOUR FEET.

In 2013, I was a volunteer at the shelter. We got a call from another shelter about a cat that was tracked back to us thanks to a MICROCHIP! I drove to pick the cat up. Spoiler alert: it was Darwin. She'd ended up as a stray in a town more than an hour away.

Suffice it to say, driving back to Bloomington with this LOVELY, TALKATIVE, DELIGHTFUL cat I decided her next home had to be forever.

And... The rest is history! D and I have been together for 9 years. At age 12+ she is beginning to experience medical issues that come with older age. I tell Darwin all the time that “I’ve got her for her whole life.” And it’s true!

Dar continues to hold up her end of things by waking us up each morning (early!) and essentially running our house.
