From Feral to Front Desk Royalty -
Seven years ago, on a chilly morning at Pet Savers, a surprise was waiting in the food shed. Tiny, scrappy, and wide-eyed, a feral kitten had tucked herself near a bag of kibble like it was home. She was barely bigger than a burrito, but even then, she had an air of authority — like she knew this place was destined to be hers.
We brought her inside, fed her, cared for her, and watched her blossom from a timid wild child into the queen of our front office. She now greets clients with a slow blink of approval, monitors paperwork from her cozy perch, and demands punctual head scratches from the staff. If the phone rings too loudly, she gives it a glare. If lunch smells good, she’s first in line to “inspect” it.
We lovingly call her The Clinic Manager, and she’s earned every bit of that title. Her journey from feral fluff to beloved fixture is proof that some strays aren’t just looking for a home — they’re looking for a throne.
