Your Pet's Story or Bio
Sandy and her pal Sasha were the August "girls of summer" for the 2012 AWLA calendar, running after balls in the surf. Now that Sandy is 10 years old she has slowed down a bit, but still loves the beach. We recently spent a beach week in Delaware of off-leash runs, dolphin sightings and a bit of ball chasing. This photo was captured at sunrise on Dewey Beach early May.

Sandy was abandoned as a ~7 week old puppy on the beach in Ocean City, MD in 2008. She was taken in by animal control and transferred to several shelters, etc before I got her a few weeks later. When not running on the beach, she likes treats, naps and holding paws when I watch television. Please remember a vote for her supports AWLA!
