Your Pet's Story or Bio
In June of 2017 I adopted Motley from a friend who had been fostering him for two years. FYI, Motley isn't a Beagle; he is a "Harrier", an entirely different breed of hound. Motley's owners were serving a two year Foreign Service post in Moscow, where he would not have been safe. Since future foreign posts were uncertain, and my friend was anxious to travel more, it was decided that the best home for Motley would be with me. He had bonded with me, his foster parent, and the owners' parents who also live in Alexandria, so Motley now has three families who he adores and who adore him. He is always happiest when all of us are in the same room! Motley goes everywhere with me, and looks forward to going to work when I do, where he shares office duties with Luna the goofy Labrador Retriever.
