We adopted Duke when he was 15 mo. old from a family who lived near Charlotte who had health issues and couldn't care for him. Little did we know that Australian Shepherds were know to be one of the most energetic dogs on the planet. Duke was no exception. It's been a real experience for a couple in their 80's, but after 4 years and a couple near brushes with death, either Duke has mellowed somewhat or we have become stronger as we have bonded with this guy to the extent that we all function as one. (dog). Duke loves all dogs, big and small, all people and has a social life most most people would envy.
