Cooper, a Beagle/Basset mix, was adopted by our family just two short weeks ago but this handsome guy has already stolen our hearts! He's a sweet, happy, well-mannered boy with so much love to give. He has an amazing story to tell. We affectionately refer to him as "Cooper the Trooper" because he's been through so much, yet he's still so loving and trusting.... He was rescued from the Butte County shelter by PWP just days before he was scheduled to be put down, after being abandoned by his previous owners. Unbeknownst to all of us, he had been suffering from a broken leg for a month or more before his rescue and subsequent adoption by our family. Thanks to the generosity of PWP and their supporters, he was able to have the surgery needed to repair his leg. He is now on the mend, doing fantastic with his recovery, and loving his new life!
