After our Kona kitty died in January 2011, we were hesitant to get another cat because our remaining cat was 14 years old. In the spring of 2011, my parents were visiting my Mom's cousin in Paradise and met a litter of kittens that the cousin was fostering for the Paradise animal shelter. After the cousin sent us many photos of the kittens, we relented and adopted Finley from the bunch. We chose him, without ever seeing him in person and got to pick him up before he was taken back to the shelter. Our old kitty adjusted pretty well and he and Finley slept together frequently. Finley has a big personality and is always talking. He loves to stalk the dogs and pounce on them when they walk by! Finley is now our lone cat of the house; his energy (and naughtiness!) is that of several cats, so he will remain the lone cat. Our Finley turned three years old in March.
