Bailey has lived with me for 3 years. She is a rescue dog. We found her running down a country road on January 2, 2010, it was 2 degrees above 0 that day, with 20 mph winds. She was skin and bones when she came to us. I weighed her, and she was only 29 pounds. She is an English Springer Spaniel, whose normal weight is around 50-60 pounds. Her ribs were sticking out, as well as her hip bones. Her fur was matted and dirty and I could feel every vertebrae in her back sticking out when I ran my hand down her back. It was obvious she'd been on her own a long time. I searched for her owner for 2 weeks with no luck. I then decided to keep her. She has filled my life with so much joy, I can't imagine life without her. She is a ray of sunshine! And she has gained back all of her weight and looks fabulous now :-D
