Back in January, all 3 of my dogs got out of the backyard (the cold weather had warped my gate and it had popped open). My 2 baby girls got hit by a van and died instantly. It was heartbreaking. I cried for weeks. Then my step-mother told me her friend's dog had an accidental litter (of 14!!!) and were looking for good homes. At first, I said no, but then I seen the photos and who can resist a puppy face?!?! We drove 1 1/2 hours to get my little Luna, when I held her I knew that was it, she was mine. She's almost 17 weeks old now (the photo is her when she was about 8 wks, cheezin' it up.) and just graduated from puppy training. I never thought I could be so proud of a dog! She is super smart (maybe too smart), will do anythng for a treat, and loves her toys (if she were human, she'd be a hoarder). She can be a bit of a handful (ie she will eat ANYTHING, leading to emergency trip to the vet!), but she's worth it! She had brought joy back into this household and to my other dog who was clearly greiving over the loss of his pack (mom & sister).
