A little about me...
Daisy rescued me in late 2019 before the pandemic. I had been searching for her for more than two years and one night she appeared online at BARK Rescue. In three days, she came to her home. Estimated to be around 4, she had never been in a city, walked on a leash, lived in a townhouse, heard airplanes roaring overhead or sirens at all hours of the day. She was afraid of people, vets, pets, and me! I broke my wrist shortly thereafter and she stayed with a sitter for a month until I healed from surgery. Poor girl, she didn't know where she lived having journeyed from South Carolina to Front Royal to Old Town and to wonderful sitters in Del Ray (Warren and Britt). But she came HOME again to me in January 2020 and now is known far and wide as the best behaved and sweetest dog in Old Town. Babies toddle up and pull her ears; she stands quietly and lets people pass on the sidewalk; and, she loves to chase sticks (and other dogs) at the dog parks. Daisy allegedly is a black Aussie Shepherd, but I think she is a "Treat Hound" as she knows every place on Prince, Fayette, and King where biscuits can be found. I'm not a pup anymore myself, but Daisy Mae has put a spring in my step and filled my heart with love. People say she's lucky I found her, but I know the opposite is true!

If your animal is from a specific animal shelter/rescue organization, please list the organization so we can give them special mention in our calendar.
