A little about me...
We adopted Lumi from AWLA this June. She's been in and out of shelters for over four years and moved around a lot and had some health issues, but she's never lost her affectionate and trusting nature. She's what I'd call a "senior kitten" - she may be 9 years old, but she's really playful!

Now she spends her days watching birds and squirrels in the trees around our house, and standing on her favorite streamer toy (see photo) asking us to play again and again and again each day, jumping, running, and chasing, before crashing on the sofa or chair next to us for a good catnap.

She starts each day greeting us outside the bedroom door by chirping, asking to be held and kissed and snuggled. She has the loudest purr of any cat I've met! She's very social, and eagerly greets everyone who comes in the house.

Like many cats she has some allergies and gets special food, and sadly she struggles with jumping due to the amputation of her toes (declawing) when she was already an adult, but all we have to do is make sure there are chairs and stools to access places to perch.

Senior kitties sometimes have challenges, but they also have so much love to give and so much life left in their years... please consider adopting an adult or senior cat, and give a beautiful, sweet cat like Lumi a chance to show you!
