Pet's Bio
Alpine (his new name) was an owner surrender to a regional animal shelter. He came into the shelter grossly underweight, with compression wounds on both rear legs that were infected and tested positive for Lyme disease. At the time of surrender his age was said to be 13. While in the shelter employees noticed that Alpine didn't respond to noise...it was later determined that he was deaf. Alpine was taken into foster care and four months later adopted by his foster mother who is also a dog trainer. Alpine has reached a healthy weight and has thrived living in his new home with his three canine and four feline siblings. He has learned how to communicate through the use of touch and hand signals. Alpine is a perfect example that love is adoptable at any age.
