How to Enter
To enter the contest, follow the steps on the main fundraising page. These steps ask you to submit certain information about your pet and yourself and then upload your photograph. The requested information includes brief responses to questions about your pet. To be accepted into the contest, you must provide all the requested information.
Submitted images and written responses must be original creations of the entrant. By entering the contest, the entrant warrants that the photograph and description submitted are original, that they are the sole owner and copyright holder of that photograph and description, and that they have not granted exclusive rights of that photograph to any other person or entity. The entrant also warrants that the photograph does not invade the right of privacy of any individual; does not infringe any trademark, trade name, trade secret, intellectual property right, or other common law or statutory right; nor does it contain any material that otherwise violates any criminal prohibition or the personal proprietary rights of any individual.
Written descriptions must be in English. Pilots N Paws reserves the right to reject any contest submission if it does not meet the eligibility requirements described later in these Rules, or for any other reason at our sole discretion. If your entry is rejected, it will be removed from the contest website and you will be notified by email.
You must complete a separate registration for every photo you wish to enter. Keep in mind that you cannot combine votes from separate photos/entries. Once submitted, your entry cannot be deleted from the contest unless deemed ineligible.
The contest ends at 11:59 PM Eastern Time on Saturday, July 31st, 2021. Please be advised that winners are determined by votes counted as of the end of the contest (mentioned earlier). If a vote does not register at that time it will not be counted.
Eligibility
The contest is subject to all applicable national, federal, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited. Contestants who are 14 and under may participate in the contest with their parents’ or guardians’ assistance and approval.
Photos may or may not have a person/people in them. However, by submitting the photo, you agree that all people pictured in the photo have given permission to Pilots N Paws to use their photo, first name, and likeness in marketing materials associated with the photo.
Eligible Images
Any image that includes content that is deemed inappropriate, indecent, or obscene, as determined by the staff of Pilots N Paws in their sole discretion, will be removed from the contest. Any image of dead animals will be removed from the contest. While Pilots N Paws will remove images at our discretion, we don’t always condone the treatment depicted in the images or described in the stories.
Eligible Photographs:
Acceptable photo formats are .jpg, .bmp, .png, and .tif
Photos may contain one or more domestic pets and may include people
Photos must be high resolution (300 dpi) and of good quality
Be horizontal (landscape) format
How the Donate-to-Vote process works
After you submit your entry, you will have the opportunity to ask your friends and family members to donate-to vote by sending them the URL for your entry.
Your friends and family can purchase one vote credit for every $1 they donate to support Pilots N Paws and our programs.
How the winners are determined
At the end of the contest, the three people with the highest-voted pictures will receive the prizes noted on the prizes page at no extra cost to them. However, ineligible or inappropriate images, regardless of vote count, can be removed from the contest at any time.
Tracking your Pet’s Progress
Any pet in the contest can be located using the “Search Pets” function.
Use of Images

Grant rights in conjunction with the contest. By entering the contest, you also agree to grant Pilots N Paws, its legal representatives, successors, and assigns, the nonexclusive rights and permission to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, and distribute the photograph or any portion thereof, throughout the world, in any printed form and by any kind of mechanical or electronic or any other method or device of reproduction, publication, and distribution known or later developed, during the full term of the copyright, and without notification or payment, as part of and in conjunction with our contest.
Use of Descriptions
When you enter the Contest, you warrant that the responses you provide to the entry questions are original, that you are the sole author and copyright holder of those responses, and that you have not granted exclusive rights of those responses to any other person or entity. You also warrant that the responses contain no defamatory material or injurious instructions; does not invade the right of privacy of any individual; does not infringe any trademark, trade name, trade secret, intellectual property right, or other common law or statutory right; nor does it contain any material that otherwise violates any criminal prohibition or the personal or proprietary rights of any person or entity.
