Why my pup is special (120 words)
Peanut and Butter are littermates born to a backyard breeder. Because they came from an unplanned pregnancy and weren’t “purebred” dachshunds, they were labeled unfit for sale and discarded. It is only through a last-minute miracle that they were spared.
Peanut was born with leg deformities and Butter was the tiny runt of the litter. Together, they formed an inseparable bond. Initially, I intended to adopt one fur baby, but after seeing how attached they were to each other, I couldn’t fathom separating them. They’ve since brought immeasurable joy and laughter into my family’s life—from playful zoomies across the yard to quiet cuddles in bed, I can’t imagine my life without them. They perfectly embody the saying, “They rescued me."
