Your Pet's Story or Bio
Mele Kalikimaka is a rescue pound dog who chose us. She had tracheal damage from her former hardship, which is all forgotten now. We adopted her a couple of days before Christmas and she was so very happy to be a part of our family and she needed a name. We were watching Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye in, "White Christmas" and Mele Kalikimaka sat and watched the dancing. She was very intrigued with the movement on the screen. Her name is Maka for short. She hikes, bikes, and cuddles. We found a great harness for her that doesn't touch her trachea and so she is happy on walks. She's the best Christmas gift to our family.
