Pet's Quirks
Scooter is very smart! Scooter loves to ring a bell to tell us that he wants some treats. He will ring the bell all day if you don't remove the bell from the floor. He loves playing...which hand...he will tell you which hand his treat is in without making a mistake. If you put 5 treats in a row, and tell him he can have one...he will go eat one and then wait for permission to have the next one.
If he sees me eating and I don't give him a taste, Scooter will go tap my husband on the leg and tattle on me telling him that he wants my food.
We do not have a fenced yard, but Scooter will not leave the yard without permission. If he sees someone in the front of the house, he will come in his doggie door and run to the front door to bark at them instead of going out the side yard.
When my husband leaves the house to go somewhere, Scooter will go into our bedroom and stay on the bed the whole time my husband is gone and jumps all over when my husband returns home.

Pet's Bio
Scooter was thrown away by someone on a very cold January day. He found his way to our carport and went under our cars for a little warmth. He was very scared and would not let us get close to him. It was 28 degrees with snow flurries, so we put down an old sleeping bag for him to stay warm throughout the night. It took us four days to finally trap him and get him into our warm house. We found out the he was loaded with hook worms, had heart worms and severely infected ears. After having him treated by a vet for a month and having him neutered, we realized that we had fallen in love with him, so we adopted him. Now he controls our house!
