We didn’t plan to fall in love at Pug Fest, November 2022, but that’s exactly what happened.
All we wanted to do was to see some black pugs, as we hadn’t seen one since we lost our beloved Lucy in 2019.
And then it happened.
First, it was Birdie coming over to us when we called her name. Then a quick walk around the parking lot. A walk that felt like something so familiar although we had just met.
A quick kiss behind her future dad’s ear sealed the deal. You see, Lucy always licked her Papi behind his left ear.
We felt like Birdie was meant to be a part of our family. We are so grateful that the wonderful people at FL/GA Pug Rescue thought so, too.
Less than 2 weeks later, we welcomed our sweet Birdie into her forever home.
