Rescue Story
After 13 years together, our rescue pug George passed away. Our hearts were broken but we wanted to honor his memory and help save other pugs in need. We reached out to PRFG and applied to foster; we were adamant that we would not adopt and that our home would only foster. After a year and many fosters later, JoJo (the fawn) came to us as an owner surrender due to Covid. It was clear he had some "personality quirks" that would require time, effort and patience to work through but my husband connected with him immediately (I like to say they are the human and dog versions of each other!) so I gave in and he was our 1st foster fail. A month later, I was asked if we could foster and help rehabilitate a black pug (Odie) who came into rescue malnourished, flea infested and had other various ailments. Taking care of sick dogs is my specialty so he joined us as a foster and after 4 months of healing and togetherness, he became our 2nd foster fail. Odie is a sweet, gentle soul who balances out JoJo's craziness and together they have given our hearts a second chance at pug love.
