Jimmy and Sasha

Rescue Story
Jimmy and Sasha were adopted from 2 different states 2 years apart, but were always meant to be brother and sister.

After our childhood pug, Tico, passed away last April, I knew Sasha and our family needed a new friend to grow with and pour our love into.

Sasha was one of the many puppies who were purchased during COVID and surrendered after people began returning to in-office work. I met her during a work conference in Texas, and she was on the plane home with me to Florida the next day. She is my sassy, silly shadow pug.

Jimmy is a PRFG alum who endured more instability in his young life than one dog should ever experience. After coming from a breeding facility outside of the country as a puppy and losing 27 teeth, Jimmy was anxious, shy, and (literally) scared of his own shadow. Sasha helped him find his spark, and after only a year together, they are forever bonded, always cuddled up like Yin & Yang ☯

We hope Sasha and Jimmy's stories help bring awareness to the importance of adoption over breeding, as they both have unique physical characteristics that defy the "pug" norm. Jimmy is our "pug rottweiler", and Sasha is considered a "Retro Pug", one who is bred to display a longer snout and qualities of original pugs, leading to a decrease in typical pug breathing issues.

They are both perfect pugs to us, and we hope you love them as much as we do 💕
