How Clover and Tayto Brought the Light Back

Last year, we said goodbye to our beloved English Bulldog. Losing her left a hole in our hearts that felt impossible to fill. The world seemed darker, and our home felt incomplete. We needed time to grieve before opening our hearts again.
About eight months later, we felt ready to take the first step. We began applying to adopt a pug and were eventually connected with a little pug girl we named Clover.
From the moment Clover entered our lives, she brought color back into our world. Her joyful spirit and loving nature reminded us how much happiness a dog can bring. As a dog walker, I am surrounded by dogs every day, and Clover loves making friends and socializing whenever she can.
As much as Clover adored her canine companions, we knew we wanted to give her something even more special—a sibling of her own. We stated reaching out to search for another pug in need of a home.
Then we received a message that changed everything: there was a pug puppy available.
It had been decades since we had raised a puppy, and I was bracing myself for the adventure. But I knew Clover was the perfect dog to welcome a new addition. Full of life and love, she seemed destined to help guide a younger sibling through the world.
Enter Tayto.
From the start, Tayto felt like the missing piece our little family had been searching for. Watching Clover and Tayto together has been one of our greatest joys. They spend their days chasing each other, wrestling over toys, and curling up together for naps.
The bond they formed so quickly is incredible, and their love warms my heart every day.
After such profound loss, Clover and Tayto have given us something priceless: joy, laughter, and a sense of Family. They have helped heal parts of our hearts we thought might never recover.
Now, I wake up every morning smiling, grateful for the sound of paws on the floor, the silly antics, the cuddles, and the unconditional love these two little pugs bring into our lives.
