Todd

Rescue Story
We first met Todd (formerly Bruce Springsteen) at the annual PRFG PugFest last fall, when he was just four months old and brand new to the rescue. Naturally, we fell in love with his adorable face, tiny body, and big dog energy almost immediately.

At the time, becoming a pug family was not part of the plan. We had been approved to foster because we thought it would be a meaningful way to help the rescue, and we also thought Beau, our field spaniel, might enjoy having a friend around every now and then. We never planned on becoming a full time, two dog family, which is why fostering seemed like the perfect arrangement. Beau could have a temporary playmate, we could help a dog in need, and then everyone would simply continue on with the original plan.

Then came Todd.

He brought laughter, snuggles, and just the right amount of bossy little pug attitude into our home. It did not take long before we realized there was absolutely no way he was leaving. He was no longer just a foster dog. He was our dog. Watching Todd and Beau become friends was icing on the cake. Somehow, they became the perfect odd couple: best buddies, nap partners, and one very small supervisor with one very patient field spaniel.

Todd turned our practical little foster plan upside down in the best possible way. We are so grateful to PRFG for bringing this funny, bossy, perfectly ridiculous little pug into our lives.
