Rescue Story
The Grumble 11
Puggie Peanut was on the caravan from north Florida on June 30, 2018 with 10 other dogs from a hoarding situation. Puggie was the smallest of all of them at 14 pounds, and probably the oldest at 10-11 years.
His eyes were blood red and so dry that he couldn't see out of them. After a few visits to the vet for other ailments, some quality food, TLC and a visit to the opthamologist -- Puggie was almost a new dog! And his prescription eyedrops even helped him to see better.
But not a single adoption application came in for him. And then I realized how perfectly he fit in our family, and decided to adopt him.
Today, it feels like he has always been with us. He has his own chair next to the computer desk to sit in when I'm working, and he puts himself in his crate when it is time for me to go to work. In fact, my husband lets him out before I get home, but he goes back in to wait until I get home. He is always by my side.
