Rescue Story
While driving back home in the rain on June 21, 2014 , I saw something small running in the streets onto a busy road in Miami. When I looked closely I saw it was a small pup and told my husband to turn around ( I already had 3 huskies at that time). As he turned around, I saw a women parked on the side in the rain holding the puppy up in the air frantic asking what to do. I rolled down the window and asked her if she was going to hold on to her and she said she couldn’t. In reality we couldn’t either, but didn’t have the heart to leave her. At that moment we took the little one eye pup into the car and drove home. She was wet, skinny and full of fleas, but she was so loving and grateful. We have her a bath and since it was late, we let her rest until the next day. We took pictures and posted them throughout the neighborhood trying to find her home, we did what we could for over 6 months with no one coming forward. Finally we started looking for a new home for her since we had 3 large dogs that were not friendly to her. At the end we had a few people that wanted to adopt, but my husband looked at me and said “are we really going to let her go?” At that moment I looked at her and that was it. Six years later she has been the light of our lives, just the perfect little girl. Her husky siblings are no longer with us, but she now has two brothers a beagle (Barro) and Malinois (Chase).
