Rescue Story
Bingo was part of the well-known Grumble of 13 rescue by Pug Rescue of Florida — 13 pugs and pug mixes all in one family, most of which were surrendered to Pug Rescue. Our family had recently lost our rescued pug Friday, and my wife was ready for another dog. She said she wanted another awkward black pug, but when we heard about Bingo, the brindle bugg (pug/Boston terrier mix), we were intrigued. When Bingo was brought to our house, he was terrified to come out of his crate. I don't believe he was ever socialized outside of his family. We put him in the backyard to run around and get used to his new surroundings, and slowly introduced him to his new brothers. There was a little initial tension, but pretty soon, all was good. Within a half hour, Bingo was in the bathtub and I was getting bugg kisses. Bingo is a great watch dog, and keeps an eye on the neighborhood, raising the alarm when any walkers, bikers, runner or feral cats dare come within eye shot. He's also a snuggle bugg, and being on my lap or by my side in the evening is his favorite thing.
