I was adopted by my mommy from a dog shelter. She went there looking for a dog. She was really sad after losing her battle buddy of 15+ years and swore she wouldn’t get another cat. A volunteer put me in her arms and I started purring nonstop. I then gave her a “are you really going to leave me here with these dogs” look when the volunteer put me back in the cage. She didn’t and now look at me! That look, by the way, still works today!
