My 100-year-old mother loves cats. She was delighted to have Shasta do a home visit, thanks to chauffeur Kimberly. Shasta was a purrrfect guest.

Shasta arrived last September and as the resident cat I was NOT pleased. Litter boxes were moved, barriers put up, I could not even sleep with my mom Kimberly. I knew this was coming as it had been discussed for weeks. Talking about something and it happening are two different things. I knew Shasta's mother recently died and Shasta needed a new home. But why invade mine? Kimberly reminded me that I was once a homeless stray. That was a really scary time. She explained it might be fun to have a cat-friend: another kitty to romp, share catnip, and trill with. It has been almost a year and Shasta has grown on me. I'm spending my allowance, which was whisker-marked for Churus, to support Shasta. Only this one time though. Next year I will demand that I am entered into the contest. Please vote for my new cat-buddy Shasta.
