April and Augie are a testament to the power of patience, compassion, and kindness to heal. When I met him, he wouldn't go out of the apartment. Three months later he loves his neighborhood walks and trips to the park. All Augie needed was love and he's gotten that in spades. I'm blessed to call April and Augie friends.
