Meet Karl. He was blinded by a barn accident and as a result they decided he wasn't worth feeding and when he was thoroughly emaciated they shipped him off to a kill pen.

Look at that face!! So, we rescued him and began the journey of having him regain 500 lbs, getting his teeth where he could use them and helping him regain trust of humans. Karl eats a bale of hay a day and a 50 lb soup of alfalfa, horse crunchies, molasses, beet shreds and bananas morning and evening. His best friend is a sheep named Wizard and his favorite food is powdered sugar donuts. Karl is truly a testament to the kindness and patience of big, giant beasts and what an honor it is to live alongside of them. He's so wise and mischievous and loving and he has made our farm a better place.
