Gloria is the truest definition of a “house hippo”, and she has earned her title (after all she looks like “Gloria” the hippo in the movie Madagascar)! She was rescued several years ago from a dog fighting situation in Florida where she overbred. She was saved and made her way to Rainbow Rescue and Retreat in Sanford, NC where I fostered her and then foster failed (big time) because she is the sweetest, most loving girl in the world! She goes with the flow, is always happy, and can never get enough belly rubs or back scratches! She goes to the dog park, not to play but to make her way around to all the people to mooch pets from them! She loves dressing up, going to the beach, checking out new breweries with her mom, doing a tappy-toe dance when she’s happy, and sneaking treats from those lower treat shelves at the pet stores! Gloria really hopes to be famous one day (maybe on a beer can??)
