My smart and handsome kitty Eli was given up to our SPCA. I visited him and first saw him with a group of people around him and he was back against his cage. Not scared, just highly disinterested with them. So the group went away, and when I came up we looked at each other and he got up and rubbed on my fingers that I had stuck through the cage. The rest is history.
